Anyways, they both suck, for the record. Trump is very questionable for so many reasons, and Harris is just straight-up useless. :/
Trump is homophobic, among other things, and Harris has fully backed Biden's decisions in turning the economy to shit, even worse from 2020, and now she's said Trump was right and that we need a fucking wall up when she said before that Trump was a xenophobic or racist turd for trying to build one during his presidency and nearly finishing it. Harris is a hypocrite and a liar. From what I can tell, Biden's senile, Trump is... a lot of things — not gonna lie, his garbage truck stunt was funny, though voting him in feels like voting in a twelve year old boy, in a sense. The best thing he could do for his campaign is shutting up on Twitter to be honest — and Harris doesn't have a single original, intelligent thought in her head or any realistic and completely legal means of reaching her goals while in office.
The worst case scenario, in my honest opinion, is the start of World War III and the beginning of a second American Civil War, either as their own events separately or both at the same time. As if we don't have enough wars already being fought in various countries right now anyway! Israel and Palestine, Ukraine and Russia, and so many others. I haven't heard anything about things ramping up between China and Taiwan in a while, come to think of it...
I feel optimistically screwed. As though the worst case scenario is so close to coming to fruition either way that I should feel doomed but it's circled back around into hope for something better than this, because I don't feel like it could possibly get that much worse than it is right now. What do you guys think of all of this?

From what I've been informed, trump won on votes last minute thanks to the Amish people who had fear of their way of life being threatened if Kamala Harris became president and in the past during covid times trump had supported the Amish during the Covid situation so they chose to repay the debt and vote for Trump.
It could be false but, if the Amish feel threatened by Kamala I feel that's a good sign that the person shouldn't be trusted.

Based on what I’ve researched, Trump seems like a stronger choice than Harris. There’s a misconception that he’s anti-LGBT, but he’s never enacted legislation against LGBT rights. While he might not personally support it, he recognizes it as a freedom he has no right to restrict. Much misinformation has circulated about Project 2025 (which won’t happen), a federal abortion ban (which is legally impossible), and the mass deportation of legal immigrants (also not possible).
The Supreme Court decided on abortion, not Trump, and neither can Kamala change that. It’s left to the states since it’s not explicitly outlined in the Constitution. If you want change on this issue, local elections are the way to go.
People often forget he was president before, and life didn’t change for most: gay people continued being themselves, as did trans people and Christians. One major difference was the absence of U.S.-led wars. Bush had the war on terror, Obama continued it, and now Biden is involved in conflicts like Ukraine and Israel.
When tensions rose during Trump’s term, he deescalated. In 2017, North Korea launched a missile over Japan, and Trump met with Kim Jong-un to talk it out, leading to a period of no further missile tests (until recently). Democracy always triumphs over other methods, like simply funding one side of a conflict.
I don’t think Trump will focus on social issues at the federal level, as he didn’t during his first term. His priorities appear to lie in foreign policy and the economy.
yup, thats what im hoping for tbh- hes homophobic personally iirc but politically? gay people and racial minorities all had higher levels of employment during trumps presidency than with bidens bc the economy in general was doing better at the time. i dont believe all of that to be bidens fault despite all of his MANY shortcomings bc the first year of his shitshow was 2020 of all years, but he had 3 or so years after that to recover it and didnt :/ cause hes senile and harris is clueless
im concerned abt trump and what he may or may not do or be willing to do, but im actually more scared of what harris would end up doing- nuclear war, for example. whether trump does actually do something discriminatory this time contrary to last time or not, if the economy is still in shambles majorities and minorities alike arent going to have jobs (not any that pay a living wage, or not enough jobs with lenient enough time schedules that they can work more than one) to get discriminated against in, in the first place
