Off Work for Election Day

I recently started working in an office, and it makes me feel like such an adult to be off work on holidays. 

Until now, I've worked in fast food and retail, 2 industries that notoriously do not care about the workers, and I'd have to work pretty much every holiday besides Christmas. But with this new job, I'll be off for election day, along with all the other national holidays in the US. 

It's not a groundbreaking thing, but it gives me such a sense of accomplishment with how much I've grown in that sense. Hopefully, I'll get paid holidays off in my next job, but I've still got some time before I graduate, so I'll see.
