I always see 2020 alt fashion being hated on, but 2020 alt fashion brought back our creativity, and I would even say brought back dying fashion styles.

In 2020 everyone was bored out of their mind not being able to go outside or anything, so everyone spent their time on their phones. this allowed people to become more creative and experimental with their style and find more older styles which pretty much revived some alt subcultures.

everyone is always poking fun at 2020 alt fashion but 4 years later it still has a huge influence today

2020 alt fashion was the biggest and purest way of self-expression I doubt they ever cared about being "cringy" they took pride in being weird and different and they were just having fun.

everyone got to show their fun styles on TikTok but now anytime I see people talk about the 2020 alt fashion they just talk about it negatively.
