Since I already made a post like this about books, I figured I'd make one for music as well, since music has been a way bigger part of my life than books. Maybe I'll write about games and movies at some point as well. Anyways, here's some of the songs:
Boris - Missing Pieces. Boris is probably my all time favorite band, it was the soundtrack of my life when I was around 19-23 years old. This felt like it perfectly symbolized my emotions when I was in a rapid cycling phase of my mental disorder. Apathy and low mood followed by intense panic and self-hatred. Fun stuff.
Linkin Park - Pts.Of.Athrty. This was just the coolest shit ever when I was like... 13 or something. This music video came with the CD and I replayed it a ton of times. Definitely influenced my music and media taste, I've loved sci-fi and heavy music since then.
Eminem - Soldier. The Eminem Show was the first rap CD I bought, and rap is probably the genre I've listened to the most in my life. This just sticks out as the most memorable track on that CD for me.
Death - Crystal Mountain. The first death metal song I liked. I had listened to mostly melodic death metal before this, but getting into Death started me on a path to listening to darker and more extreme metal as well. Chuck Schuldiner was a god among men.
Taeko Onuki - 4AM. I think this song marks the beginning of my bloomer phase. I really got into Japanese city pop, probably because of being a massive weeb and because it was pushed a lot by the Youtube algorithm. This is my favorite song of that genre, and I've listened to it probably hundreds of times.
