on aug 31st at 9:56 there was a shooting at the michigan state fair
exactly down to the minute i stood in the very same spot the shooting took place 24 hours b4

its nothing new is it 
this happens everyday

its never fair 

2 boys were shot

one of them is dead
one of them is dead

he will never get married
he will never drive a car
he will never graduate highschool
he will never go to prom 
he will never watch his face age in his mirror

its never really fair its just life

on jan 25 1985 a woman was murdered in her own bathtub 

its nothing new
this type of thing happens all the time

a kid she never got to see grow up

a grandkid she never got to meet

and someone is out there
someone is responsible 
someone walks around everyday

they buy a big mac from McDonald's 
they watch the new Beetlejuice in theaters
they sing their favorite song when it comes on the radio
they lay sick in bed with the flu

everyday they wake up
go through the motions of their day
when they took away someones ability to go through theirs
