Wazup,
so actuall question to people with ADHD, Autism or any other mental disorder, how did ya'll get your diagnose? I am especially cursious with people, wo had to go to the doctor themself to get diagnosed. When did you realize it? Where exactly did you go to get your diagnose?

I was a little shit in elementary school and they wanted to figure out what was wrong with me.

I was officially diagnosed with ASD in 2020. My diagnosis came from a very rough bout of depression that landed me in an intensive outpatient program. The psychiatrist was keen enough to notice peculiar patterns in my behavior and suggested I might be autistic. I didn’t even consider myself as autistic before then.
I suppose it helped that I didn’t assume anything, I simply stated the symptoms and my life story. Sometimes it works out that way, but I acknowledge that my scenario was *very* lucky.
I should clarify - the psychiatrist at the outpatient program misdiagnosed me. It took another one from a separate company to diagnose me.
