Its so weird here?? I've basically joined yesterday and as soon as I customized my account friend requests were FLOODINGGG in. I thought it was a good thing because I found this randomly and I just wanted to make friends or whatever but I was so genuinely wrong?? Almost everyone on here only sends friend requests just so they can be "popular" or something its so weird. I have 17 or 18 friends on here and out of that many people only 4 of them responded. And I only had an ACTUAL conversation with two people, one ending with a "talk later?", which is good but you know :p.
I don't know if it's because I joined late or because I just haven't found the right people, but it's like no one is actually looking to be friends on here? Which SUCKS because that's honestly what I was hoping for. I'm not completely giving up on this site yet but I honestly might as well D':
It's honestly whatever, It's not like I don't have friends in real life or outside of this site, I'm just saying I was super excited to find this only to figure out it's just some popularity site, which is annoying. Go to Instagram for that.

Tbh, I send friend requests to people I find interesting with the intention of wanting to start a conversation, but then I get nervous because my english isn't the best and I overthink about what I should say, I distract myself to stop overthinking, I forget about this page and never talk to the people lol

i add people occasionally when they share my interests but i always never start a convo because i'm awful at conversations and replying in the first place ;/; makes it worse when the website both on pc and mobile don't properly notify for responses, so i forget to respond or don't even realise i'm supposed to. i occasionally will open the app up to rant to the void in bulletins or share a story if i remember to - otherwise it's just dead noise man

I've added so many people on here because I have the same interests as them but was too awkward to actually start a convo with them (or they just didn't respond). But,,, when someone messages you it doesn't give you a notification for a while unless you refresh the page!! There also isn't a little number next to the website name to show that you have a new notification like most websites have and there's no noise, so I can totally see how it would be hard for a website user to know when you message them. (╥﹏╥)
(I can't speak on mobile users because I don't use the mobile app lol)
actually yeah that does make a lot of sense because i am on computer lol, i genuinely never thought abt that

I have the moblie app and it NEVER gives me notifications , it maybe might give one if im mid convo but that first dm? nothing

Yeahh it's a bit weird- I'm trying to find people to talk to and make a few friends but most people seem to just add others and not want to talk lmao
