New Nuclear Reactor Type

While talk of nuclear energy tends to be inherently political, that's not the purpose here, it's to share that meltdowns might be a thing of the past with a new gen of reactors.
Generation four reactors are starting to be built, one of which is the High Temperature Gas Cooled reactors (HTGRs), and according to the Nuclear energy agency, they can also be called very-high-temperature reactors (VHTR). but the specific type of this type (typeception i know), is a pebble bed reactor, where instead of giant fuel rods, the fuel is in low density pebbles that let heat dissipate real fast.

a recent test of this reactor was able to have the reactor cool itself from full power, WITH NO SECONDARY COOLING SYSTEM!!! this test is normally practically impossible, something like that should meltdown the reactor.

also save me, my friend only knows about fast nutron reactors that are used specifcally to make different istopes, aka fast breeder reactors. and i can't escape them saying that
