Terms like DSD SHOULD NOT be used to refer to intersex people due the fact that term was used for centuries to justify unconsentual surgeries on intersex people and is being phased out of medical doctrine and medical practice training.
The myth that black people can’t feel pain is responsible for centuries of black women dying during childbirth and why a lot of black people get denied medical treatment.
Stories of white people being part Cherokee started during the US civil war. (Not for good reasons and a lot of it has to do with the attempted genocide of indigenous people in North America especially during the Civil War as the Cherokee and other tribes that occupied the region where the majority of the civil war took being pushed off their land.)
The Irish weren’t considered white until they proved how cruel they could be to people of color.
There’s used to be school that indigenous children were sent to and at the schools they would be forced to assimilate to the culture of white settlers.
Polyamorous marriage was outlawed in the US because of Mormons.
During the fight for disability rights in the US wheelchair users crawled out of their wheelchairs and onto to the steps of the Supreme Court building in Washington DC to make a point about disability justice and crimes against the disabled.
“Dwarf throwing” was legal for a long time and republican lawmakers want to bring back violence like “dwarf throwing” towards little people.
Disabled people still don’t have full marriage equality.
