Review 12: Skullgirls 2nd Encore

What is Skullgirls 2nd encore?

Skullgirls 2nd encore is a classic hand-drawn fighting game with local multiplayer and competitive battles against other players. Skullgirls 2nd encore also includes an entire story mode with different stories and endings based on which character you pick to play as. It does include multiple DLC characters that add on to the story and help expand other characters' story by giving more details on said characters. (I would recommend just buying the entire 1st season’s pass if you want the characters; it's easier and cheaper than buying one by one. One thing I love about the game is its many references from the alt skins of characters with many references from game, movies and much more.

What brought me to Skullgirls 2nd encore?

Well it was one of the few games that was on my Steam account when it was transferred over to me from my brother. And I remember playing the game on the Xbox 360 so I thought I would give it a try and I enjoyed the story mode.

Would I recommend it?

That mostly depends, one main issue I had was not really having any friends who also owned the game and I wasn’t that big of a competitive fighting game player. But I did try the story mode and as I said before I enjoyed it. So, if you enjoy playing fighting games competitively or have friends who agree to buy it and play it with you I would say sure go ahead. And if you just want to play the story mode go ahead it’s quite fun.
