Why are people so hateful? An attempt on an ex-presidents life was taken yesterday. That attempt lead to the death of an innocent bystander and injury of at least two others. the amount of hate I saw spewing from both "sides" was horrible. "it was staged", "you missed", "at least that's one less supporter", "only the left would do this", etc..
The fact that many joked about it to such an extent genuinely saddens me. Like I don't blame it as the initial reaction, the man shot at is one of the most controversial men alive today. His policies are decisive and non-inclusive, specifically aimed to appease some and outcast others, it's no wonder. But at the end of the day, he was an American president. He is going to likely run as the next president come November. Around half the country likes or loves the man. So this uncaring waver for the consequences his death would bring and the life lost at that rally is repulsive. Why do people hate so much? I wish I knew.
