City lights

I have seen my life pass before my eyes through others as if I were in a closed room with a huge window where you can see the entire city. The city depresses me, always full of lights, full of movement, full of people coming and going with the breeze ruffling their hair and reddening their cheeks in the cold night that paralyzes my body, forcing me to press my forehead against the glass to observe a once again everyone living freely while the ink dripping from my open veins covers the floor of the room. I have seen society continue to advance while my body fades in front of them without anyone paying attention as if I were invisible and I saw, with tears sliding down my cheeks, how no one tried to find me, to ask about me, as if I had never been there. The city lights reflect in my crystalline eyes and fill the room like a mirror ball at a party, once again, they are celebrating while I drink my own tears.
