Sometimes it just comes out of nowhere...
Femininity.
Is there anyone more helpless
than the lady on the highway's edge,
in a pretty little sundress
and sitting beside her flat tire
(except the prima ballerina
raped backstage
after her performance)?

Yeah, it's leaning more towards the bear now....

"...But in late 2020, a security agent caught her husband taking photos of women’s crotches in a supermarket, leading investigators to search Dominique Pélicot's phone and computer. They found thousands of photographs and videos of men appearing to rape Gisèle in their home while she appears to be unconscious.....

The woman said to have been kept as a sex slave locked in a barn by 'Poland's Josef Fritzl' was horrifically mutilated with injuries including the loss of both her lips and teeth.
The disturbing new details about the suffering of the woman alleged to have been held captive for four years by a rapist monster emerged from the medical reports of the doctors who raised the alarm....

Learn to change a tire, buy a pistol or get a husband (or maybe call your brother). better yet, do them all. Helplessness solved.

Thanks for reading.
I have roadside assistance through my insurance and I do carry pepper spray.
I'm also married; however, that you advised marriage and/or male companionship as a means to counter the vulnerability that comes with public displays of femininity sums up the problem very well.

What else would you suggest men do to help keep the women in our lives safe, then, if suggesting they be accompanied by a man in potentially dangerous situations/areas is problematic? I don't think it's ideal, it's just pragmatic. I put it last for a reason. You can't stop people from potentially doing horrible things, all you can do is arm and protect the women close to you. I don't think that's the way it ought to be, it's just the way it is.
I'm not saying this to try to win a debate or anything like that either. I know little about what it's like to be a woman so I'm genuinely asking as a male that doesn't want to see people victimized.

There's nothing to be "done". This was just a wistful expression, an acknowledgment of the condition of being female; part ridiculousness and part fear. That's all.
There's no reason a woman in a dress can''t change her own tire (barring strength or knowledge barriers), except, well, she's in a pretty DRESS that's getting filthy while she's getting down in the dirt to do it.
The same with the ballerina, pulled out of her meditation and performance and thrown down into the dirt (so to speak) because of some asshole's need to degrade or overpower her.
Femininity is a mindset that's often at risk, given the realities of the material world. That's all I was trying to say.

Dial-A-Bear will soon be operational. I'm currently training wild bears to assist women in emergencies.
There are a few teething issues but once we can get them to stop gutting and eating the clients, I am confident they will be very helpful, and much much safer than encountering a random gentleman.

I'm sorry.
Were you talking about the bears here, or the men?
You know, since I've the stories about both....

The bears of course.

As it's been pointed out on Twitter, at least when you're killed by a bear, it's because it doesn't know any better.

... maybe from the clash of "trad-wives" and "bear vs. man" twitter discussions and my own recent roadtrip (luckily, no flat tire from that)...
