I SAY NO TO COMMUNISM.
(ps. this is a rant, don't take it very seriously. I just have strong opinions lol)
Not bcs of the idea itself, but bcs no leader can be trusted with this system.
And there's still people who say they're communists and idolize Lenin n shit?? I thought we learned from our past mistakes.. GUESS FUCKING NOT.
I have very strong opinions about communism and its effects on society, especially since I come from a post-communist country which somehow got affected both by the Soviet Union AND its own form of communism. In-fucking-credible. DOWN WITH CEAUSESCU!!
And 'till this day there's still some people who believe we should "go back to the old days"?? wtf.
What pisses me even more is western people who NEVER went through the hardships of living in a poor, corrupt post-communist country, who think it's cool to be communist cuz they think they'll get praised by the russians or sum shit for putting the communist emoji in their instagram bio. I can't count how many times I saw those idiots, and I get secondhand embarrassment every time. They don't know SHIT abt what communism can actually do and how it can destroy a society, and they'll NEVER understand it bcs they NEVER experience. (Also, how ironic is it to be american and a communist? I can't believe how many of them I saw on the internet.)
ISTG I once saw a "COMMUNISM CORE"Β post. COMMUNISM CORE. read it again. just let that sink in.
Wtf is wrong with people. These kids will look back on this "communist era" once they grow up and I bet ur ass they're gonna cringe and regret everything they did lol.

The funniest part is that very few of these people would actually be willing or able to work the kind of job that they would in a communist nation. No more graphic design or psychology degree for you, Becky, you're gonna be a seamstress for the factory uniforms till you die! Lenin would line up influencer-types, sex workers and daddys-money-inheritors and mow them down for being "demeaning to labor." Don't tell me you're a communist if you aren't a working-class proletariat, only then do you deserve to be taken seriously.

I understand your aversion from communism given your country's history with it, but you need to understand that, though the exact opposite, it is the same reason many like myself hate capitalism. In my country of Ireland, capitalism, particularly neoliberalism, has fucked us side-ways and allowed for a housing crisis and for American companies to come here to use us as a tax haven while giving very little back to us. And particularly in Ireland, we were colonised and thus many socialist here, like many post-colonialial socialists, believe that capitalism brought about colonialism and imperialism and thus because of our history we oppose it.
Many leftists critique the USSR and other socialist experiments for their objectively bad doing, but ofc it is not black-and-white but is a very grey subject matter.
And the people who use the term 'communismcore' are usually just odd people who admire khrushchevkas as 'aesthetic' rather than for their effectiveness. And literally the -core suffix is almost always an aestheticisation of a word for capitalist gain, like it makes thinks more compact and profitable when used like cottagecore or fairycore being used on shein products. The word 'communismcore' is an aestheticised version of an actual thing that serves little function other than profit and masquerade.
i agree, capitalism doesn't do us any good either rlly. Our leaders can't be trusted with any system... But still i'd rather live in these days rather than the ones where my family couldn't even wash their clothes once per week because they weren't allowed to buy it, or the days when u would be sent to the gulag or the middle of nowhere in cold siberia for not giving up your crops and land to some rich lavish russians who invaded and stole part of ur country... :/
but anyways, yes. capitalism also has VERY BIG flaws and i hate it. no system will really work as long as these leaders are alive... or will it ever work?? greed and power changes ppl...

Well, greed is a product of capitalism. Greed is not natural to most people and is honestly antithetical to the human experience. And socialism is meant to allow a transition to weed out greed and the bourgouisie/proleteriat dichotomy. And also, I am an anarchist (as in I believe heirarchy and power, if not proven legitimate, should be abolished) and so I believe government overreach is bad and we should focus more on cimmunity like The Black Panthers. And I feel authoritarian systems, whether capitalist or socialist, are bad. But again, me being from a post-colonial country influences me to reject capitalism and socialism.

True, it is an idealistic system that will never work, because for it to work, everyone to the last person has to cooperate, which is impossible to do without force. That's how it ends up with secret police, gulags, lack of freedom of speech, discrimination, locked up borders, and more. Property and buisnesses taken from private owners is neglected and decays, as no one feels particularily responsible to take care of them, while the owner no longer has full rights to it.
The victims of unfair communist trials are countless, the innocent sentenced to death for simply being inconvenient to the regime/party, and every time a country becomes communist, and somebody promises this time it will be diffrent, it's never diffrent. Because that's what the party wants you to believe. It wants you to believe it can work. It cannot.
And even though I am for heavy taxation of the rich and against unregulated capitalism (For example, America) I am also against communism.
Economically regulated capitalism is not without flaw, but I think it is the rational middle way.

I completely agree with you, also a very good insight. everything you described is stuff that happened to my family and family's friends, and many other people native of their own land. and sadly is still happening till this day..

The USSR was never actually communist, communism should not include fascism, that is not what communism is about. The USSR, as the general public have come to think of it, was Stalinist, just the USSR claimed it was communist when it really.. was not..
I say yes to communism, but that being said, I should also say yes to leftism, anarchism, what I have come to know as communism, and so on. I don't agree with Stalinism or any authoritarian ideology, because, simply, it leads to fascism. Fascism bad guys!!!!! anyways fight the power, free Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and Ukraine
i understand what your point, to some degree you are right, but the leaders themselves tried to form their own version of "communism". also, my own country had a communist era and it was HORRIBLE. it ended up with a riot and the two leaders were executed by common people (rightfully so). And any other country ,that wasn't necessarily in the USSR but still experienced the communist regime that most likely lead to the downfall of that country, will tell you the same. If a person who lived through the communist era is saying it was "better", they were probably the ones that were profiting off the sufferings of others. As i said, the idea itself isn't too bad, but it has been proven that it can't be trusted with anyone else.

i agree with you! any country that tried "communism" has failed at it. communism is to live life without social classes, state and money not to live a fascist life. both communism and anarchy is about freedom, no way are they near right winged.

the idea itself is not that bad, but it has been proven that it can't be trusted with any leader... While my country was under the communist regime, it was HORRIBLE. My people lived in poverty and were exploited by the government. Russia stole a part of my country, and after freeing them they are now an independent republic that is even more corrupt. They tried forcefully taking my family's (and other ones) houses and land to give to the rich russian elites when they moved in our country. And after '87, 30+ yrs later, we are still affected. Everyone is so depressed and cold. It's really sad.
