rant ig (tw opinion *gasp*)

okay so it rlly annoys me when ppl call themselves alt or goth or punk when they 1. dont listen to the music and 2. they have right wing views. The punk and goth movement was directly based on liberal views ex. anti homophobia, anti transphobia, anti racism, etc. and it kills me when ppl call this gatekeeping when gatekeeping is like "name three songs, ew ur a poser" which is annoying. Like im not trying to be gatekeepy or anything its just kinda anmnopying. I used to have a group of friends who called themselves "punk" or "goth" or "alt" but come to find out they are literally neo nazis!!!!!! so yea idk thats my rant dont come at me
