from my notes: self-love

i want to begin loving myself.

i want to be so beautiful that the bugs and worms and butterflies know it,
that the flowers and trees whisper to other plants about it.

i want to not worry about how much i eat or what i look like wearing that shirt -
i want to be able to look in the mirror and find beauty in everything i see.

i want to start out by finding the little things about me that i love -
like my eyes and the way they have little golden flecks when i'm out in the sun,
the few freckles that i have,
my nose and how it stays a light red all fall and winter long making me look like rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

i want to begin loving myself.
