Why is the connections today so poltical?

I just did the connections game on The New York Times, why are the answers so political? as if im going to think about types of conformists. Like i think it should be more common knowledge to allow for like an average 16 year old to match terms, not some random bs that only 50yo white males will understand. Make the game actually fun you know?
