some facts on random stuff I have since I like list-making...
- the MF DOOM CD came with a "behind the scenes" DVD.
- i get most of the DVDs at thrift or dollar stores, however I usually pay full price for CDs, unless I get lucky in the used section. never give up I'm super poor it took a long time to get this far lol.
- I got the family guy DVDS for 5$ a piece at my local library.
- I got my AJJ CDs (not including disposable everything) from a concert.

nah i dont burn anything yet, but i plan on it when i got time. i have a couple things im waiting to burn

woah dude this collection is awesome, i have some of the same cds and dvds and have been searching for like kittie, vashti bunyan, gorillaz, etc. for some reason it's hard to find at the stores i look at but the collection is slowly growing. just curious on your thoughts about physical media and the importance of it. some people i talk to about it find it kind of redundant, i think it's extremely important and valuable for so many reasons but just wondering why you do it too?
oh yeah I love physical media I feel like I actually own it that way, my family has streaming services and I do enjoy those too but I don't think I'd actually pay for one myself. I feel like its more secure to have DVDs and CDs since you actually OWN them and the only thing that could happen is it breaking or you losing it. especially if the power goes out, or you are away from home with little wifi or something, its also just important in general like I'm poorer so having a ton of DVDs vs multiple streaming services is just more frugal for me. idk its just like 10x more stable then anything else if you get what I'm saying. also, I got the Vashti Bunyan one from my birthday, but I saw it being sold at barns n Noble Im pretty sure, since she has a book too (I also got that book haha) but yeah, that's just my answer to that :P

wicked, i totally do it for similar reasons. also just mentally i feel like there's something different between physical media and online media. the more media you can keep separate from your phone the better, trying to switch a song on spotify ends up in me on my phone for 5 minutes doing random stuff. also makes you so much more likely to listen to full albums and appreciate it without itching to skip to a new artist so i totally love it. cool about the vashti book, what's the title? i wanna read!

its called "Wayward: Just Another Life to Live" its really good. I love Vashti !! and yeah having physical media just feels better. I was thinking about burning music onto CDs and movies onto DVDs and such, like stuff that's too expensive or not on those formats. but yeah you should totally give that book a read.
