If you can't read the last article due to the paywall, it talks about which colleges have had pro-Palestine protests at them since April 17th, the day that Columbia University Apartheid Divest, Jewish Voice for Peace, and Students for Justice in Palestine began setting up the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia University (read my previous post for more information about this encampment). There have been protests (including building occupations) at 40 colleges since that day, according to this article. The students involved in these protests have been and currently are facing the full force of the police and their colleges and yet are continuing to stand in solidarity with both Palestine and their fellow student protesters who have been arrested for being involved in the protests (just yesterday, 57 peaceful student protesters were arrested by horseback-riding policemen clad in riot gear at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas). Even though the media and certain figures (i.e. Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Mike Johnson) have been trying to paint the student protests as antisemitic because of a few incidents of antisemitism that happened at one or two of the protests, I can't help but feel very inspired by them regardless. I myself am a radical, pro-Palestinian student, so I see myself in these student protesters. I'm not surprised that members of the ruling class are irked by these student-led*, anti-genocide protests, because war and genocide benefit them.

*When I say student-led, I mean student-led. I watched an interview with the students involved in the Gaza Solidarity Encampment protest at Columbia University a few days ago, and some of the students were talking about how other students host teach-ins, provide free food to everybody at the encampment, act as each other's security, and offer people blankets so that they can stay warm while they sleep in their tents at night.

Here's a bonus one that's not about Palestine: https://truthout.org/articles/93-of-trans-teens-live-in-states-that-have-proposed-or-passed-anti-trans-laws/
