AECA receiving major backlash

The AECA, which stands for “Anti Emoji Cat Action”, is currently getting a lot of hate from Tiktok users due to its mission on trying to get “emoji cats”, i.e., a community of users who create cat characters using emojis, banned or quit off of Tiktok.

Numerous people on Tiktok are beginning to dislike the AECA due to their harsh negativity on the emoji cat community. For instance, they comment negative things on emoji cat videos. It's because their goal is to destroy the emoji cat community by going as far as “doxxing” them. Which means leaking their personal info like their home addresses, phone numbers, etc. Other ways they attack the community is sending them death threats in their DMs, cyberbullying them viciously, etc. At the moment, the origins of the AECA are unknown. On the other hand, they often use Sonic the Hedgehog as a Lego figure as a representative figure for the organization.

Some people, specifically, children, are allegedly even committing suicide because of it. Additionally, most people believe that the AECA members do those things because they think it’s “cool” and believe the emoji cats are cringe. Another reason is they believe children under 13 years old shouldn't have a Tiktok account in the first place. Because most members of the emoji cat community are kids. However, they say otherwise because they’re only children and some of them are even taking their own lives. The heavy impact and the ruthless behavior of the AECA members has caused the “#DeathToAECA” creation which has become slightly trending due to its ongoing lack of popularity.

Right now, the emoji cat community is pursuing to spread awareness by using the #DeathToAECA trend. “If you’re an AECA member and you don’t dox or threat, you’re still supporting them by being in the community.” said on multiple #DeathToAECA Tiktok videos. But some people disagree with this because they didn’t provide any solid evidence about the 4 children taking their lives. In an interview with me and an AECA member known as @the_strongest_her0 regarding why people are disagreeing about the children who have took their lives and why Lego Sonic was chosen as a representative figure, he stated "He actually faked the 4 peoples deaths and it's kinda messed up don't you think?". As of this moment, there's no official statement by Tiktok regarding this status. However, a slightly well-known Tiktok user named "@the_real_mania", a former member of the AECA, has also been using the #DeathToAECA hashtag since he/she had realized the acts of what they have done before he supported the hashtag.

My stand on this situation: Why even create the AECA? Do you realize when you verbally attack them, you're attacking children who are just trying to have fun? I mean, some of you think they are cringe, heat, or toxic, but Tiktok added a "block" button for a reason. Just do that! You don't need to create an entire organization about trying to make them quit! Children are even taking their own lives because of y'all. Literal children. That are under the age of 18. They're too young to be viciously cyberbullied. Look what y'all have done. Shame on you.
