Four months. That is how long it has been since the Israeli military first started their genocide against the Palestinian people. In those four months, 29,000 people (think about that for a moment) have been murdered in cold blood. I know I write about this massacre often, but there is a reason I do so. If we forget about the Palestinian people and their struggles, we will all become complicit in this genocide. Right now, the children of Gaza, as well as their mothers, fathers, and other caregivers, are facing starvation, thirst, illness, and all kinds of other horrific things. In the West Bank, on the other hand, Palestinian civilians, both young and old, have been arrested and tortured en masse. We CANNOT forget about the Palestinian people. We must continue to speak up for them, listen to them, attend protests for them, call our representatives for them, and, if possible, donate food, water, and other necessities to them (keep in mind, however, that donated supplies have not always made it into Palestine). We CANNOT afford to be silent, even if our schools, governments, workplaces, and other institutions want us to be.
I will be leaving some articles about Palestine that have shaken me to my core below. I think I will update this part of the blog quite often.
