A long time from now, in a galaxy very close...Twitch Kid, an alien from the planet Shay'Di has crash landed on Earth in the year 2050.
The Earth has always been a resilient planet. Throughout the ages, entire civilizations have risen, fallen, frozen, burned and melted. Inevitably, a new beginning approached the planet that over 7 billion humans call home...but for over 5 billion of them, this beginning was really
THE END.
By the time Prince Kedan, (or as he was known on his home planet, Twitch Kedan) landed in the desert of Nevada in an area known as Area 51, it was too late. A piece of Shay'Dian technology had been successfully delivered to the humans by another sect of Shay'di known as the People of the Red Sun. These beings harnessed the energy of the ancient red sun that orbits Shay'di, and created sophisticated technology that enabled them to terraform planets to make them inhabitable for new Shay'dian colonies.
For thousands of years, an ancient rule had remained unbroken. It was dishonorable and immoral to colonize and terraform planets that were previously inhabited by another species.
However, a newly appointed leader of the People was ambitious and greedy. On scouting missions to Earth, it was reported back that humans were slowly destroying their planet's natural mechanisms, and decimating wildlife at an incredible rate. It was customary for the leaders above and below the planet's surface to meet and discuss which planets were to be colonized and which to be left alone.
The king of the Shay'Dians above ground, known as Erofan, ordered that interference with the human planet was pointless. They lived short lives, and perhaps one day would leave the planet empty and open for terraforming.
The leader of the People of the Red Sun, Tatchen Sentros, debated this. He believed that allowing humans to destroy themselves would in turn destroy the planet beyond repair, compromising their ability to terraform planets with the technology his forefathers had created.
However, Erofan was firm in holding to tradition and precedent, and was not willing to interfere with a species that had no means of communicating with Shay'di.
Sentros returned to the hollows below Shay'di, infuriated that his authority and opinions had gone seemingly unheard by the other Tatchen. Sentros began devising a plan to reunite the two Shay'dian tribes, in order to overthrow Kestra and become the leader of the planet.
But first, he thought about what Erofan had said...perhaps the Earthlings could not communicate to Shay'di, it was true.
But what could be the harm in reaching out to them?
