New age?

A herd of Technicians (TM) runs the country anyway. 

What does it mean to run a country? 

I don't think America is running. It's more limping at the moment, and I don't think that will change any time soon if I were to guess. It's not Hillary Clinton's fault, though. At least not mostly.

We're run by a herd, a gaggle, a murder of Technicians addicted to the fumes of the modern age. Their detachment from humanity leads evercloser to an improaching instrumentality -- of humans regarded as functions of the machine of the homo sapien. All of this day are caught in the jaws of the technocrat --- Either through the passive intake of the caustic chemicals of Industrial society, or a falsely forthright adherence to the principles that have ushered in the new age. 

Technocracy has lead to our graves, but at least they're laminated with LED lights and shiny touch screens. How lucky we are.

But I don't really have that much of an incentive to care. For the orchestrators, the puppets are worth at least as much as they can contribute for the performance. To a raving lunatic they're worth even less. 

To be honest I don't even know why I brought up Hillary Clinton. 

Possibly because she's one of the most Technician-y Technicians to ever Technician. 

She's pretty much detached from emotion in the name of the cult of equilibric reason. Watching her talk makes me want to cry because I feel like at any moment she's going to peel off her skin and reveal a layer of metallic indifference underneath. She gives speeches like a well-trained AI, says what she needs to say to be heard, and authenticity ends where electability begins. Such is the case with all world weavers but it's impossible to say whether she's putting on an elaborate act or is just as deep as a puddle of rain. It's possible that the lexicality is the core of who she is. Very sad.
