i hate liberals who are like " i just want peace !!!" when they're talking about the colonization of Palestine as of they're the ones that have really been struggling here. like they've been actively affected by this crisis because they've been scrolling through twitter. like i know its difficult because you cant see past your own nose but for once just think about how Palestinians are feeling right now.
I feel like people don't even get what "peace" entails in Palestine because they think israel and Palestine can just hug it out like we're at the school playground. the fact of the matter is israel wants the entirety of Palestine to themselves. they've never truly been interested in a two state solution (unless it meant they had control over both states). and the truth is Palestine before the occupation of israel was peace. it was very religiously diverse and they were all Palestinian. imagine that?

Do you know who else I hate besides the liberals who support Israel because they have this false belief that anti-Zionism is antisemitism? The conservatives who not only share propaganda against Palestinians but also against Arabs in general. Greg Gutfeld, I wish there were words to express my contempt for you.
agreed. I've never felt represented by either side. recently I think there's been more support and embrace towards arab culture but that wasn't the case like, 5 years ago. Muslim was synonymous to arab and both of those titles were slandered badly. I think that lead me to resent western politics as a whole growing up.

I had a bizarre movie experience while travelling onboard a flight from New York City to Abu Dhabi via Etihad Airways. There was this in-flight movie that I watched called “Wahed Tany.” In the movie, the characters and the events that took place were all depicted in ways that contradicted the propaganda that I was regularly bombarded with on Fox News as a teenager. Thieves can go to prison and later be rehabilitated into normal society again, women wear fancy dresses and have the power to get divorced, and social drinking is portrayed as a norm. How does Fox News not have accountability for their stories? What the actual hell!

yeah people find it hard to believe that the middle east has liberated communities as well as conservative ones just like literally anywhere else in the world. especially egypt, its like the hollywood of the middle east. also! not all of us are muslims. on that note, did you know that islam actually gave women the right to inheritance, education and divorce which was unheard of for the people of the time? I could go on for days about misconceptions people make about islam.

I learned all of that after watching “Wahed Tany.” But you know what else was a weird experience for me? Actually getting to set foot on the streets of Abu Dhabi in the middle of the United Arab Emirates. There was this old talk show that Greg Gutfeld used to host on Fox News called “Red Eye” that has since been replaced with a new show that Gutfeld named after himself. On that show, he would say all kinds of lies that I would totally buy into as a Christian teenager because I didn’t know any better. He would say that you can publicly get your head cut off in the U.A.E. for failing to observe Ramadan. And that the use of the death penalty for offenses that do not actually cause pain and suffering for other human beings is so common in the U.A.E. that there are five public beheadings per day. He would also say that burglars who break into safes to steal from people can get their hands chopped off for theft. But his stories of brutality don’t stop there. He also said that women can get publicly beaten for showing their faces. If this isn’t their first offense, they can be sentenced to death by stoning in a public setting. Oh, and he also said in the show that when public beheadings and amputations take place, the authorities don’t even bother to clean up the blood afterward. According to him, they purposefully leave the blood on the ground to make the rest of the population fall in line with a strict adherence to sharia law. As a result, it’s common to see the streets of the U.A.E. drenched often and often with human blood. Greg Gutfeld is a very deranged human being!

it's so bizarre to me the way they can lie with no repercussions. I just watched some of and its so immature. whats even more frustrating is that the comments are praising it to be one of the greatest comedy shows of all time. it's not fair, you ruined the reputation of the entire middle east for a joke. that tv show might have been a persons sole look into middle eastern culture and now that's what they'll believe for their entire life. they aren't even realistic lies either. isn't slander illegal?!

Unfortunately, the legal system allows them to get away their actions. The reason for this is because the law in America only protects individuals and organizations that operate as singular entities. Collectives who do not operate that way are not protected by the law. Think “Red Eye” was bad? Just wait until you watch “Gutfeld!” and you’ll really know what bad is. Greg Gutfeld’s original show “Red Eye” no longer airs on Fox News, but he has gotten more extreme in his rhetoric over the years and it shows in the programs that he currently appears in. You can actually hear Greg Gutfeld in the talk show “Gutfeld!” openly advocate for genocide against Palestinians and he still doesn’t get into trouble for what he says. I would have thought that after being forced to kick out Tucker Carlson for saying that the Great Replacement is a real conspiracy being perpetrated against white people, Fox News would have realized that it’s probably a very bad idea to be overtly intolerant on live TV. But apparently, they’ve learned nothing from their mistakes. The intolerance has only gotten worse and it’s radicalizing real people even now as we speak. What a time to be alive!
