youtube shorts/instagram reels/snapchat spotlights/ facebook reels or any other features like these r ruining people's lives

i know plenty of ppl who r addicted 2 these and literally cannot stop scrolling. its become a real problem for many regardless of age. moms, dads, and elderly people have become stuck in this loophole of scrolling through facebook reels and its draining their lives without them even knowing it. ive even seen this with kids or teens my age, they literally cannot do anything without scrolling. it literally affects ipad kids too with their addiction to skibidi toilet and wtv, just mindlessly scrolling through their parent's phones. this affects their attention span, general health (from being on their phone a lot), it shortens their temper, it literally makes them dumber cus they dont learn anything from it, and they become too dependent on it and dont learn other hobbies. my friend has become addicted to instagram reels and shes aware shes addicted but she isnt even bothering to stop the addiction. she constantly says things like "i cant stop, im already too deep in" or "what else is there to do". my friends brother has become addicted to youtube shorts too and he got an attitude from it, starts whining whenever his parents take it away, and is even constantly on it. but anyways, u get the point, there r countless examples of this happening and its ridiculous.

i understand that this is a great way to earn money for social media platforms and its a good marketing technique. but jesus they need to get rid of it, its rotting ppls brains :(
