Some random survey because it's a sunday

Kindly appropriated from Olive Oyl :3

1. How old are you?
A thirty-six year old tired man ;p

2. How long did it take you to figure out how old you are?
I mean, I dunnobout you, but I've known what my age is since I was old enough to talk.

3. Which side of the bed do you prefer to sleep on?
Well I have a single bed, but I guess the righthand side, since it's closer to the wall.

4. What's your favorite scent of candle?
I'm not really a candle tbh. In regards to household scenting stuff, I usually resort to Febreeze.

5. Do you file your taxes online or do hire a CPA?
Easier to just bite the bullet and do that malarkey online.

6. How annoyed do you get when people bring more than 15 items in the 15 Items or Fewer line at the Grocery Store?
Genocidally apoplectic.

7. At what time of day is too late for you to drink caffeine or else you'll be up all night?
The real question you should be asking me is "CAN I make it to the morning with my current caffeine intake?" ;3

8. Do you have any of the following:
A) Electric Foot Spa Thing?
Non.
B) Epson Salts for Soaking?
Nein.
C) Massage Thing That Goes On Top Of A Chair?
Nej.
D) Super-Long Shoehorn?
Hahah no! I'm obviously missing out!

9. Do you turn the heat up or just put on another blanket?
Environmentalist angst (and my inclination towards cheapness) means I habitually just layer up. I'm got plenty of blankets!

10. How excited do you get when you get to go to IKEA?
Meh. I'm not super into doing my place up with new furnishings, tbh. I always looked forward to the Swedish sausage in a bun, more than anything else.

11. On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do the following things hurt right this very second:
A) Back?
Maybe a two.
B) Feet?
I was at work this morning, so about a five.
C) Eyes?
They tend to only hurt if I have a caffeine headache, and I'm good right now so, a zero.
D) Knees?
A thousand percent. I don't so much have knees as I do pockets of "support gravel" joining the two segments of my legs together.

12a. When was the last time you had nothing to do on a Saturday?
Most of January I was having to isolate from work and use up holiday, so honestly i've not been at work for recurring weekends.
12b. How absolutely amazing did that feel?
The first bout of isolation was due to having been in contact with a work colleague getting tested positive (luckily they only had mild symptoms) over christmas, and at pretty much the same time (unrelated, due to us not visiting one another of course) my dad and older brother both got COVID. My dad was hospitalized due to breathing difficulties and an auto-immune response tricking his body into feeling cold even though he was heating up to feverish levels. My brother wasn't in immediate danger, but also struggled with his breathing and felt awful the entire time. They both recovered though, which I'm extremely grateful for - me, my parents and my four siblings aren't exactly spring chickens! It was ten days of not working leading into the new year, and honestly kind of wishing I was at work due to doing nothing except sit in my flat worrying about my dad and brother.

Three days after I returned to work, I noticed one night (after a shift) that I had almost completely lost my sense of smell and taste, and that I developing a cough. My section leader (bless her) insisted I didn't come in the next day until I got tested, which of course came back positive. That subsequent ten days of isolation was actually pretty good, because my family members had recovered from their COVID infections and my symptoms were mild. I never even felt ill tbh! It was a very relaxing start to January, just fannying about on the internet, writing, listening to music, etc. It was especially relaxing knowing that I only needed to return to work for three days before having two individual "weeks off" booked back in October 2020, that my section leader again insisted she wanted me to have off (I rung her several times during isolation to keep my employers updated, asking if she wanted to switch my hours around, etc).

13. Describe your favorite mug because I know you have one.
I don't have a a favourite mug (I'm not a fan of hot drinks) but I do have a tall Pepsi glass that just so happens to be the perfect size to empty out a 500ml bottle into.

14. Which appliance in your home are you the most proud of owning?
I wouldn't say I'm necessarily proud of owning a washing machine, but it's nice not having to collect all my dirty laundry and walk to my parent's house to clean my clothes anymore.

15. What's the last thing you had to fix because you're too cheap to pay to fix it?
I'm the most useless and D.I.Y. deficient man that I know. I'd rather pay or sweet-talk someone who knows what they are doing.

16. What's the last thing you had fixed because you're too lazy to fix it yourself?
The boiler. It's not even that I need it for central heating, I just don't want the water pipes to freeze again. There's no feeling quite like waking up on a morning and going to take a quick shower, only to find the the few dribbles of water emerging from the showerhead are refrigerated ;p
