This contains spoilers for all endings.

Lacey's Wardrobe was such a fun, yet simple game. A quick play, coming in at just under half an hour. It's in the style of old 2000's dress-up flash games, which at first makes it a bit confusing as to what the hell you're supposed to do, but once you figure it out, it's one hell of a time.

Lacey is your ordinary girl, enjoying picnics and shopping at the mall. It is our job as the player to help her decide what to wear for each outing. From cute dresses to alt-punk styles, there's plenty to choose from as the game progresses.

Ending One:

To achieve ending one, you must simply play the game as normal. Dress Lacey up however you want, and watch as her stalker creeps ever closer. You might want to help her, stop her from going out like she begs, but there's not much you can do. Get her dressed up all cutely for her date and experience the first bad ending. Her stalker catches her, does unspeakable things to her while two images of (fictional) gore flash on the screen, and then you're left staring at him.

"i ate her remains

so that we will be together

forever

i love you, lacey"

Ending Two:

For the second ending, you'll follow the same gameplay as the first one. However, this time for the date, you'll dress Lacey up in a way to disguise herself. Hat, hoodie, sweatpants, sneakers, and sunglasses. The stalker won't be able to recognize her, thus sparing her for the night. The next day will be a trip to the cafe with her friend. Dress Lacey how you like, no worries!

A gift!?

They left a person-sized gift at the door

Do you want to receive it?

Choosing yes will lead to the second ending. As you may have already guessed, the person-sized gift is Lacey's stalker. I assume it's Lacey who opens the door, thus giving her stalker the opportunity to rush into her house and kill her once again. She can be heard letting out a scream, but it's cut off quickly, leaving the cutesy background music playing.

Ending Three:

To get the third ending, this time around you'll choose no for the gift, letting you continue dressing Lacey up and meeting her friend at the cafe. How nice! Now it's time for the two to attend a party in red. From her hair to her shoes, Lacey has to be decked out in red, red, red! But unfortunately for you and Lacey, her stalker has returned once more. He's at her window, banging at trying to break in. If you're not fast enough, or if you're not red enough, it's once again game over. The end screen shows Lacey's house covered in blood, her stalker kneeled in her living room, sobbing. Lacey's body slides into frame, her vacant eyes still showing the last shreds of terror.

Ending Four:

Be fast, and don't miss a single red item! You'll make it back home from the party safe; but the same can't be said for your friend. It seems as though in the sea of red, Lacey's stalker mistook her friend for Lacey.

help Lacey choose the cutest outfit

to say goodbye to

that bitch one last time.

All that's required is you dress Lacey up nice for the funeral.

Make her look beautiful for

her eternal

journey t̷̨̟͙̳̘̻̑̈ó̸̫̪̝̚͜͝ ̶̻͈̗̘͕̀̀̿͊h̶͔̠̕͠ẽ̴͙̮͈̥̻ļ̷̪̻̳̟̅͊͋̌̓̽l̶̺͊̆̍̃̈́

Now it's our turn to dress her friend! Pick an outfit that's funeral appropriate. Lacey's friend is in horrid condition; missing her right arm, a bite taken out of her ear, her skin grungy and glitchy, and her face disfigured beyond recognition - her eyes and teeth are all that's left to be seen. Clicking 'ready' will progress to an image of a burial, people looking over a casket with their faces twisted and warped. Then it cuts back to Lacey's house, and another session of getting her all dolled up. Everything is dark, the music is twisted, and something here just doesn't feel right.

As you click to move to bottoms, a fire starts. The music cuts for a moment as the sound of the blaze roars just beyond the window. As you click to move to accessories, the screen goes black, and Lacey's muffled screams can be heard as her house burns to the ground with her inside. It's probably safe to assume her stalker found out he killed the wrong girl, and wanted to take Lacey out in a blaze of glory...

Ending Five (True Ending):

As per usual, we must go back a bit and change our choice. For this ending, we must dress our friend in the worst thing possible for a funeral: a bathing suit. This ends up getting Lacey kicked out of the funeral, thus going home early. Instead of it being dark outside like previously, it's now bright, and Lacey is getting ready for a picnic in the park. It all seems like it did when you first began the game.

"hi"

The screen flashes an ivory white as a message pops up. The music is replaced with a muffled static before returning to the dress up screen - everything is a bit darker now.

"what's your name?"

It's Lacey. Somehow, someway, she's talking to us. We are given the prompt to enter our name, and doing so will lead the screen to return to the dress up gameplay, now with the ivory white background instead of Lacey's bedroom.

"it's a great name, it is, I love it!!!!"

The music has been turned off, leaving the muffled static drone to take it's place.

"You don't like seeing me suffer, do you?"

This is it. The beginning of the end. Lacey talks to us a bit more, explaining that she can get out if we close the game. CLOSE THE DAMN GAME PLEASE. And doing so will bring us to our final ending; the true ending. Opening the game again, we are greeted with a blank screen - no play button, no options, no exit. Just the word "wardrobe" and the "Lacey's Deaths" counter.

-1

Ending Six:

...Wait, what? Why are you still playing? Why didn't you close the game? You don't like seeing Lacey suffer, right?

"RIGHT???"

If you decide to continue playing and 'help' Lacey go to the park, you'll reach the final bad ending. And, just like in the beginning, we can see her stalker in the woods. "WELL DONDE!" The screen says, before hitting the continue button.

"i love you lacey"

After that, the game crashes. Coming back to it, we are greeted to a new screen. Lacey, hand to the screen, her eyes wide and hopeless as tears well up. Her body is glitching, and the music is gone. You've condemned Lacey to reliving each death.

Overall, this game was fun. Again, it was a short play, but so much story and mystery is packed into it. The game is free on steam, however there's a lot of back-and-forth with whether ghosttundra gave it their blessing or not. In my opinion, as the game does not make any form of money, states that ghosttundra is the original creator, and that this is a fan game, it's completely fine to play the game. I would still recommend supporting ghosttundra and their official Lacey works, but this fan game adds a bit of fun to the original series, letting the player experience the scares at their own pace. Whether you play it or not, I still highly recommend checking out the series. Below I'll leave a link to the YouTube series. Enjoy!

"It's in the style of old 2000's dress-up flash games"
I wouldn't say that, in my opinion it looks way too modern (the art)
It looks like it is made on Capcut rather than Flash, no gradients and stuff (not all games contained that but it was common)

I'm just going off of what the steam page and YouTube video say lol. Although I do agree, the art style is *very* modern for something that's supposed to be set in 2006. However I guess there isn't really a "set style" for back then lol
