Well, I think the most logical explanation would be chemical engineering. She creates energy-efficient and environmental-friendly formulas, meaning she could help machines produce less harmful substances into the air, along with her having the knowledge to embrittle tungsten...
Hypothetically, she could use her knowledge to make things immune to embrittlement or completely indestructible, which is especially useful when it comes to creating robots and helping prevent them from breaking from certain substances or in certain situations (melting, sawing, etc.)
