I had a thought for a long while to share my favorite games that are good or decent, but people seem to never (or rarely) play them because they're either not interesting, they flew under the radar or were "games at home".
So I wanna spread these good and decent games to bigger audience.

1 - City Life (2006)
"City Life" is a SimCity look-a-like with small tweaks under its hood. Instead of making you focust on maintaining city's infrastructure, it makes you pay attention to neighborhoods and communities in the game, so that they don't massacre and take over eachothers' neighborhoods (6 in total to take care of).
The game was made by Monte Cristo, it had new version in next years and it is also a precursor to Cities XL series.
2 - Crashday (2006)
A game that has gameplay similar to Flatout, Carmageddon and Twisted Metal. A really underrated game in a sea of famous destruction derby and crash games, like Flatout, Burnout, etc. It was/is mostly well-known and played around eastern Europe.
Game has both singleplayer and multiplayer modes, but AI in missions and career is pretty goofy. It is nice to play it with your fellas though
3 - Richard Burns Rally (2004)
So-called "The most realistic WRC racing game" developed back in 2000s. A game that man himself, Richard Burns, helped with because he wanted to make those WRC physics truly feel real.
The game is "easy to learn, hard to master" type of game, because when you apply "realistic" to collision option, your run will end up in about 10 seconds or less. But when you get the feel for the driving, you'll be happy you made the track. So this game is good to try.
The developers are now defunct and there's no chance you can find it on Steam, GOG etc.
If you want the game, get it from Abandonware websites.
4 - Zniw Adventure (2020)
Lovely Point-and-click adventure game with dinosaurs made by Polish developers. The goes around a little dino named Zniw, getting a gift for her mother's birthday. Her shopping is cut short when she's lost in the night, outside of her home town of Wal... Walu... Walupietka? I don't know, I can't speak Polish.
5 - Darksy's Adventure (2023)
I'm adding this because it feels like a "Bubsy 3D at home" game. It is a one-man project and as I guess, it's coming from a young developer with little experience.

It is indeed. For me, it is "that one game" that's weird, neglected but really interesting.

no fuckin way crashday, I used to play that all the time as a kid, had it in CD on my dad's windows xp pc!
I used to play it all the time as well. I didn't had my own copy, but friend did. Playing it with him was a great fun.
