☆Dissociation/Derealization/Depersonalization☆

(!!Depersonalization/derealization disorder is a type of dissociative disorder, which are different for each person!!)


triggers:
★overwhelming experiences
pstd/c-ptsd
★or just traumatic events in general (SA/death/war/kidnapping/etc)
☆sometimes it can also come from an invasive medical procedure
(★[another person] bright lighting)

signs:
feeling disconnected from yourself and the world around you (everything is foggy/blurry/distant/detached/etc.)
☆feeling little or no physical pain (or just being humb in general)
feeling uncertain about who you are (forgetting/etc. your idenity or sense of idenity)
forgetting about certain time periods, events and personal information (names/age/looks/ect.)
★feeling as if you are experiencing a flashback but cant remeber any of it
☆feeling like your body is not yours truely
★losing the plot of your conversation (no focus/zoning out)
☆your surroundings seem off (too gray or colorful/sounds/shapes/sizes/ect. feel different)

associated with:
★ptsd/c-ptsd
☆bpd/mood swings
★depression
☆anxiety
★ED
☆OCD
★SH
☆suidical tendencies
★(maybe) insomnia

tips:
★stay calm (ik this sounds weird but stay calm and dont panic <3)
☆concentrate on something [if you can] (breathing/a person/a movie/hand movements)
★try to stay grounded/try to ground yourself
☆tell a close person [if you can]
★sit it through it (it will pass <3)
☆dont do to much/many activities in this state

☆Panic attacks☆

(!!Panic attacks and Anxiety attacks are not the same (i will make a section on anxiety attacks) triggers can be different for each person!!)

triggers:
★gentical passings
☆ptsd/c-ptsd
an imbalance of neurotransmitters
☆anxiety
★overthinking
chronic stress
OCD
phobias
Low self-esteem
☆sudden changes in invoirment

signs:
racing heart
☆sweating
★chills/trembling
☆lightheadness/dizziness
★breathing problems
☆chest pain
★stomach pain/nausea
☆no control over thoughts
★feeling as if you are chocking
☆dry mouth
★feeling that you are not connected to your body
☆fear (fearing that you are dying or fearing death)
★fidgeting/punching/kicking/abrupt movements/etc.
☆cant speak
★hands trembling
☆having the urge to hit your head/arm/legs against something
★twitching

corresponding thoughts: (that i have sometimes)
★i dont want to die/i am dying
☆everything is too much/tight/small (feeling claustrophobic)
★i am going to throw up
☆i am going crazy
★i feel like fainting
☆i need to hit something
★i need to scream now
☆hit the wall
★bang your head against something (repeadly)
☆they are all staring
★cry cry cry
☆i cant anymore

tips:
★restrict yourself from hitting/kicking/punching/etc. (it can cause harm to you and others)
☆control your breathing (breathe slowly and deeply)
remind yourself that the attack will pass <3
remember it's not life threatening
stay where you are [if possible]
☆get someone to ground you [if possible]
★move away from stuff that can hurt you (book shelfs/flower pots/etc.)

☆Self-harm (sh)☆

(self-harm is something i did to myself to cope with my depression and other probelms )
!!self-harm is not a disorder, it is a behavior or call for help. And it certaintly is not a way of suicide (as belived by many people)!!
AND SELF-HARM IS NOT ATTENTION SEEKING AT ALL!! (UNLESS FAKED THEN YES)

what leads to it/why it is done:
★depression
☆ptsd/c-ptsd (used to escape/block those memories/ect.)
★strong feelings (to release them, feelings such as anger, loneliness, hopelessness,ect.)
☆for a sense of control over something
feeling numb (dissocation)
☆used as a sign for help
★as a punishment
★ED
☆low self-esteem
★abuse/SA/ect
☆miss use of drugs/alcohol
★personality disorders
☆influence from others (friends/family/ect.)
(as a way to cope)

triggers:
★other wounds/scars/sh/gore/blood
☆panic attacks (or ptsd attacks)
★depressive episodes
☆dysphoria
★unwanted feelings (as stated above)
☆bullying (any type)
★school/work/relationship problems
☆mental breakdowns

(if u want u can count both sections above as one)

signs:
★frequent bruises/cuts/burns/scars/ect.
avoiding situations where you expose your arms/legs/stomach
★mood changes/being more secretive or closed off
☆weird/strange excuses for visible/seen injuires
★withdrawing from usual prefered activities/hobbies
☆long sleeves/long pants/jacket/ect (even in the hot weather)
★sharp objects lying around for no reason
☆bandages/bandaids covering wrists/thighs/stomach/arms
★(feel free to add in the comments <3)

types: (parts that have !!, there u have to look at the cirumstances and ect.)
★cutting
☆burning
★hitting yourself (on or against obejcts/walls/ect.)
☆pulling out hair
★(!!) scratching your self to much (YES this can be considered self harm)
☆miss using drugs/alcohol
★(!!)participating in risky bahviour (that can end deadly, while knowing the consquense and still doing it)
☆(!!)unsafe driving on purpose
★(!!)unsafe intercourse
☆breaking your bones
★bruising yourself
☆pinching youself
★starving yourself/binge eating (yes they can also be considered as an ED)
☆(!!)exercising too much (with little water, food and breaks)
★(!!) wearing your binder too long on purpose

tips:
★rubber band (snap it against ur wrists)
☆ice and red markers (to fake/mimic the feeling and looks)
★ventbook/journaling
☆take a bath/shower/wash your face
★distract yourself (watch a movie or draw)
☆talk/vent to a trusted person (friend/family/pet/therapist/ect.)
★freeze/lock up your sh tools (so you cant access them that easily or at all)
☆(if comfortable enough) trust someone with your sh tools, too keep them away from you
★doodle/draw/skribble on a piece of paper
☆cuddle a plushtoy/pet
★use socks/old pants to cover where u harm (make sure it is thick and comfortable fabric)
☆call a help line (or a friend)
★vent in your notes
☆stay away from your tools/walls/stuff that can harm you

Everything you wrote seems very real to me, it seems like something that was experienced in the worst possible way and managed or can live with them trying to help themselves, it is very useful for those who are unable to obtain the correct treatment.

relate so much to this post tbh it's very hard sometimes trying to cope with everything. I was diagnosed with PTSD but it isn't even an official diagnosis. yet at the same time I wanna get tested for Bipolar disorder and OCD but I know how hard that's gonna be to deal with alr

This may sound weird, but lately I've had moments where I "remember" that I'm real, as if until that moment I wasn't real, and I just realized that I exist, and I'm the one running everything, and even then, it doesn't feel altogether
